This trek turned out to be 13 miles, and we were unlucky with the tides. We worked against the current both ways, it shifted while we were in the cafe. But a good time was had by all even if some of us were near our limits. Best wildlife sighting for me was all the little herring hatchlings dancing across the water on their tails.
